Abstract:
Cerebral hyperfusion after carotid artery clamping occurred during thrombendarterectomy (TEA) may bring about the occurrence of a new stroke or may aggravate the existing injuries caused by previous ischemic events, for which it is necessary to maintain adequate cerebral perfusion at a critical time of the surgical procedure.
