RECOVERY EFFICIENCY IN PATIENTSWITH SEQUELAE AFTER STROKE IN THE “SF. NICOLAE” RECOVERY CLINIC FROM ATHENS, GREECE
Abstract:
Hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients, hospitalized for recovery in the Recovery Clinic “Sf. Nicolae” from Athens, Greece, selected from the cases recorded in the last two decades, aged between 50 and 80 years old, and status: employee (employer) or retired, experienced motor and psychological sequelae of different types and severity. Among the motor sequelae, we mention: paresis (mono, hemi, tetra), hemiplegia, quadriplegia, and neuropsychiatric pathology was represented by: severe depression, senile dementia and epilepsy. Hemorrhagic stroke and ischemic stroke are compared in relation to recovery and family, social and even professional reinsertion.
