PROPER THERAPEUTIC ATTITUDE IN CASE OF A GIANT MENINGIOMA ASSOCIATED TO MALIGNANT NONHODGKIN’S LYMPHOMA (MNHL)
Abstract:
Meningiomas are a type of tumours that originate from the meninges, the membrane layers
that contain the central nervous system (CNS). They represent the most frequent type of cerebral tumour,
approximately 30%. Their starting point is the “cap” cells of the arachnoid granulations. This type of
tumour is usually benign; although, a small percentage becomes malignant. Most of them are
asymptomatic over the course of an individual’s life and do not require other treatment than close
observation.
