Abstract:
Recent studies suggest that lead exposure is related to several chronic disorders, including disorders that have been associated with oxidative stress and may be a factor in the etiology of gastrointestinal ulcers. In this study, we proved that the prolonged occupational lead exposures is associated to the risk of ulcer of the stomach and duodenum; yet, we did not find statistically significant associations with the level of urinary lead and of the urinary d-ALA in the area of the severely increased values and none with the severe anemia
