THE ETHIOLOGICAL ROLE OF HPV IN THE CERVICAL CARCINOGENESIS
Abstract:
The knowledge of the cervical cancer and its pathogenesis has known a remarkable
development. Research carried out by molecular methods for detecting and REVIEW HPV (human
papillomavirus) improved understanding to the extent to which new morphologic criteria were
formulated. The coexistence of the cervical lesions and HPV is indisputable. The purpose of this paper is
to present the etiological role of HPV in cervical carcinogenesis and genomic instability in HPV
oncoproteins role.
