BIOMARKERS – A NEW PERSPECTIVE IN URINARY TRACT INFECTION
Abstract:
Urinary tract infection continues to be an important cause of morbidity and mortality for adults and children. The early and correct diagnosis is very important considering that upper urinary tract infection can lead to renal scarring, secondary hypertension and, end-stage renal disease. Recent years brought into attention a whole new perspective for the diagnosis, making the biomarkers a very promising field.
